Our History

INFRAPOWER was established in 1994 with head office in Beijing, China. We have now operations and offices through whole China. Our organisation is divided into Business Sectors with focus on specific operational and production concepts. We invest significantly in technical R&D, EHS, Supply Chain, HR and other critical support.

1994-2000 On September 1, 1994, INFRAPOWER was founded in Beijing, China. Originally started INFRAPOWER with the production of infrared panel solutions for infrared cabins. INFRAPOWER provided its developed carbon fiber technology to several sauna producers, mainly from Asia. The development during the first six years could be described as a constant development of infrared panel systems for several wellness related applications (infrared sauna cabins, Japanese bed matress applications, etc.). In its own capacity, INFRAPOWER acquired several suppliers and expanded its production facilities. By the end of the year 2000 INFRAPOWER worked with about 400 comitted employees.

2000-2005 The first years of this century presented INFRAPOWER with new challenges. This period was driven and characterised by restructuring, reconstruction, modernisation and lots in investment in reasearch. The resource scarcity and demand for an energy saving way of heating let INFRAPOWER focus on the development of more and more efficient heating systems. In this period the high efficient carbon fiber and reflector technolgy was patented and gave INFRAPOWER competitive advantage for many infrared panel applications in China. By the end of 2005, INFRAPOWER entailed stuff of about 600 employees and was China’s market leader, providing panel solutions for several applications.

2006- Recently, INFRAPOWER has experienced additional requirements. The infrared panel demand continues to grow internationally and it is important for INFRAPOWER to meet local demands on an international level. This has resulted in increased production for different markets such as Europe. New concepts for building state-of-the-art-systems for various infrared panel applications were developed and the carbon fiber and reflector technology was adapted for the demanding new markets. Several infrared solutions for new applications were developed and the efficiency of the whole production process was matched to the high quality standards of several markets.
